Had a go at the whole elimination challenge from Penny Arcade’s Strip Search. An hour and a half to create a comic based on two random themes put together. The Day 1 challenge was a comic with the combined theme of ‘Space’ and ‘Table Tennis’. Here’s what I came up with in the time allowed.
For all of those people who think I’m a quick artist, this should silence that one pffft, because after that first panel, I had to rush big time just to even get something that rough in place (and I now notice a rather bad mistake in the second panel where I forgot to delete some black splodges).
It also says something about the quality of the artists they’ve got on that show to produce stuff of the visual quality that they do in that time allowed, god damn.
It’s damn good practice at the very least though. And eh, like I always say, I see myself more of a writer than an artist anyways ha ha
maybe I should have worked on Britland City in that hour and a half of drawing instead oops
